Vacation with Triplets: Bethany Beach, Delaware

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. It's been a very busy summer, but we haven't done a lot of the things I wanted to do. We still have some time tho, so hopefully we'll get to do some of them before the weather turns cold and nasty.

About a month ago we went to Bethany Beach, Delaware, which sits between Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland. It's a nice, small beach town that's great for families. I wasn't too fond of the beach or the water, tho. The beach had a quick drop-off into the water that made for some pretty vicious waves. There really wasn't a period that I noticed where the water was calm enough to just go in and enjoy it. Of course, I have been spoiled by the waters off of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over the past couple of years.

The resort we stayed in did have a few pools which the kids really enjoyed, and they did enjoy playing in the sand on the beach. I just wasn't comfortable taking them in the water with the harsh waves.

Juli immediately got sand all over her face. And she Loved it!

KJ immediately started to throw sand, and he Loved it!

Elisha started to build things, and got sand in her hair, probably from KJ.

Once in the pool, KJ took to the water like a fish. Thanks to his "Puddle Jumper" he could swim around on his own. The girls could have too, but they decided they needed to be attached to someone at all times.

Papa and Uncle George showed KJ how to jump into the pool. I lost count of how many times he jumped in like this. He had a blast!

Obligatory stop for ice cream.

Some very excited triplets!!
