Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2012

Last week Gretchen, the kids and I headed down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my family for a week of sun, sand, and relaxation. Well, as much relaxation as the kids would allow, which wasn't much.

We spent a lot more time at the pool and on the beach than we had in previous years. This was the first year the kids didn't need to take a nap every day. That alone gave us a lot more time to play. And play we did! There were lots of sandcastles, laps in the pool, splashes in the ocean, and hunts for the perfect seashell.

Of course, I had to line the kids up now and then for a photo or twenty, which they begrudgingly went along with, most of the time. I had a lot of fun taking pics with my iPhone and olloclip this year. If you're not familiar with the olloclip, it's a little lens set that gives you a wide angle, fisheye, and macro lens for your iPhone. It adds a little something to your standard iPhone pictures without sacrificing quality. Some of the pictures below were taken with the iPhone and olloclip.
